"Four words describe the tour we have just been on with two incredible, kind and knowledgeable gentlemen as our guides:” WOULD DO IT AGAIN".

Unable to venture overseas, we saw the deal-of-a-lifetime which included: Auckland to Wellington by train, stopping for two nights at a super clean and friendly hotel. The Food Spice Odyssey Tour was like visiting 5 countries in 4 hours by coach, under the watchful eye of John, the organizer. We were treated to some delicious foods and the owners of all of the establishments were lovely folks and extremely generous.

Next, on to the Ferry to Picton and the Sound Cruise with Cougar Lines was a highlight of our week away. The sea was like glass, and the fresh mussels we had were cooked on board. We gave it a jolly good go to finish the 500 grams per-person allowance! But alas, not quite.

Back on board to Christchurch for a further 2 nights, and then to a motel that again was super clean and wonderfully comfortable. The Tram ride with commentary the next day was fascinating, and the rebuild of the Central City was uplifting compared to our last view of this garden city five years ago.

All aboard for the final leg of our tour and we are off to Greymouth on the Transalpine train. Jaw dropping scenery. No more words are needed to describe that part of our journey. What a way to finish! I could talk for hours about the seven days away, on how impressed we were on the hotels we stayed in, the activities we did, and the other sixteen wonderful people we met on the tour… but I'm not here to write a novel!

But I do have to pop into the conclusion about Pete (Pedro) and John. We were guarded, but didn't have our hands held. We had our own free time and meals to eat whereever we wanted, with some good suggestions made. I couldn't rate these two gentlemen highly enough for the special characteristics they employ towards others. Thank you both and hope to see you again.

And if anyone is interested in this tour my husband and I have just been on DON'T hesitate. Have fun!"

"Ride The Rails: We feel that Endeavour NZ did a great job, - well done and we will be promoting the tour to our friends. We especially enjoyed the balance between organised events and the free time. Great meal together at The Barn in Picton- keep this on the plan going forward. Lovely touches with the wine and fudge at the Golden Star in Christchurch."

"We wanted to have the holiday of a lifetime and be confident that the trip would suit our interests and deliver on all of our expectations.

Initially we went to travel agents who were helpful, but we found it hard to nail down an itinerary and feel confident in our choices. It is a long way to travel and get it wrong or return home feeling that you have missed something! This is when we turned to Pete at Endeavour New Zealand Itinerary Specialists and can’t thank him enough for helping to make our tour of North and South Island so wonderful and memorable.

Pete and his team have a wealth of tourism knowledge and with their genuine and professional attitude we immediately established a great rapport. Pete took time to listen and understand what we wanted to achieve from the trip and what our expectations were. We were guided through the process step by step ensuring that the trip itinerary was tailor made just for us. Nothing was too much trouble.

By the time we left the UK we felt well informed about our choices and had the utmost confidence that our bespoke itinerary would deliver on all levels. Knowing Pete was close at hand was reassuring but it all went like clockwork. Towards the end of our holiday we met up with him just to thank him and to enjoy dinner at yet another one of his recommended restaurants.

I would highly recommend Pete and Endeavour New Zealand Itinerary Specialists team to anyone wishing to get the most out of a trip to New Zealand. Their knowledge, passion for their country and willingness to go the extra mile ensure the itinerary is unique to each traveller.

Thank you, we had a fantastic time in your amazing country."

"We had been invited to a wedding in the north of the South Island of NZ (Blenheim). So we thought, what an amazing opportunity to see NZ.

We engaged with Pete at Endeavour New Zealand Itinerary Specialists to help us plan our itinerary for a 3 week visit. We hoped to explore the best that the South Island had to offer in our restricted time limit.

Pete was so helpful in drawing up our itinerary and we had the most amazing time - we travelled to the delights of Lake Wanaka, Lake Moeraki and other areas on the West Coast including the Fox and Franz Josef Glaciers.

We also travelled north to Nelson and then on to Blenheim where we had had some amazing wine tasting. Pete was instrumental in guiding us and helping to plan our tour, which was just amazing.

It was all that we had hoped for and made our trip to NZ just perfect. Thank you, Pete."

"We asked Pete what we should do for a weekend away. He suggested a night or two in Kaikoura, north of Christchurch, with possibly a trip added in to watch whales out at sea. This comes highly recommended, especially as one of our group has limited mobility.

So, we booked with excitement, met at the wharf and off we went through the sea mist. Once we were out four or five kms the sky cleared with spectacular views of the mountains over the mist. The skipper dropped his special listening device and said there will be a large sperm whale surfacing shortly. Lo and behold, he appeared not far away, huge and breathing heavily after a long dive. The captain positioned the boat specially so that all could see clearly, and we waited for him to dive again, about 20 minutes and then all of a sudden, we saw him move to go, his tail rising in the classic style, so special.

Dolphins and albatrosses on the way back to port completed a special afternoon. The accommodation that Pete had booked for us was nearby, easy to find and very comfortable as well as reasonably priced. A well equipped kitchen, along with a sun trap garden area made for a restful evening.

Thank you, Pete!"

"Dear Pete,

Tatty and I wanted to thank you personally for the most wonderful time during our recent trip to New Zealand. We absolutely fell in love with your country - it is so unique and very special on the world stage and frankly nothing can compete with what you have on a global basis. NZ is the most beautiful country in the world as far as we are concerned and the people are so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed learning about the Maori heritage and also about your government. Food and wine was absolutely exceptional - everything was very clean and spotless bar perhaps one place and the entire vibe of NZ life was just the best. Our rental car was superb and worked perfectly - we enjoyed driving it and felt all of that side was very reasonable cost wise.

Christchurch was nice and had one of the best restaurants we ate at [24 Steps on the first floor?]; we loved places like Dunedin, Wanaka, Napier - vineyards exceptional - highly recommend the two hour wine tour at Church Rd and the delicious food in their restaurant there - excellent!!! We literally had gourmet food throughout our trip and the expeditions you arranged we just loved - they were ALL very, very good and of a very high quality.

Hobbiton, Whitianga and staying at "La Toscana" were favourites of ours; the Maori thermal lakes, dance demonstration and dinner were all very educational and interesting; Cathedral Cove was absolutely stupendous and our guide fantastic - the trans Alpine Express fabulous and the outing on Doubtful Sound even more fabulous - the list goes on and on. Napier and the antique car show was a complete bonus being there during their vintage celebrations. Wow!

Although I was very concerned about pricing and you did a great job keeping the price down to what we could afford and I thank you very much for that - Highly recommend Koura Bay Golf Club to stay at. The view from here was one of the best of the entire trip - combining mountains behind us and the turquoise sea in front - just breath taking!

Apart from the itinerary, we were so happy that you came to Auckland to meet us with Gordon - that was a big plus. And your other partner, John Anderson was very courteous and took very good care of us too. We were grateful to him for driving our car to meet us at the other end of the train trip. We liked everyone in your company! I cannot fault you on anything, Pete.

Tatty and I plan to return to NZ soon and see more - return to one or two places that we liked, see more and also go to the islands - can you also organise this for us? Fiji, Bora Bora, Tahiti etc.

So thank you so much Pete for doing an absolutely fabulous job and planning to return very soon. Let's stay in touch.

With best wishes,

Justin and Tatiana Bell"

"We have just completed a six day, three rail tour using Endeavour Itinerary Specialists; Auckland to Wellington on the Northerner, Picton to Christchurch on the Coastal Pacific and Christchurch to Greymouth on the Tranz Alpine.
Everything in our Tour Itinerary was excellent and so well organised. Between each Rail Trip we had at least a day in between to relax before the next one. Endeavour also had 'wonderful' excursions planned for each rest day so there were interesting things to do, (all prepaid and in the tour cost), as well as plenty of 'own time' for shopping resting etc. We can certainly recommend Peter & John the tour hosts. They were available at every step, organising tickets, baggage, transfers to rail and pre-booked hotels, etc, etc, etc! And great value for money as well."

"AMAZING - The best word we have to describe our adventure with Pete as our personal guide. We experiences 12 days of adventure discovering the beautiful South Island. Pete made the trip a delight, caring for our comfort and meeting all of our requests of places we particularly wanted to visit. Our itinerary included Christchurch, Akaroa, Mt Cook, Oamaru to catch up with friends, Dunedin, Invercargill, the Catlins, Te Anau, Doubtful Sounds, Fox Glacier, Franz Josef Glacier, Greymouth, Abel Tasman Park, Picton, Queen Charlotte Sounds, and Hanmer Springs. This was certainly a highlight in our lives with hassle free travel and comfortable accommodation. Thank you Pete. We will certainly recommend your services to our friends and anyone wanting a special holiday. Waking up to the attached view of Mt Cook was really special."
